Music Classroom ......is a web-site that was created for student use and viewing in class and at home. It is always being added to and sections often "Under Construction" as new components are being created.
There are three sections to the site. 1. Music In Our Classroom This section contains videos to some of the things we are covering during our class. The students are able to view them at a later time or at home and share them with their families. 2. Music On The Internet This section of the Website has links to Songs and Game sorted by grade level. There is also Self-Directed Learning for student assignments in which there are subject areas links that the students can use for Self-Directed Learning Units. 3. Music All Around Us This section of the online Music Classroom has many different things from videos created at concerts or in class to links to YouTube videos for practicing songs to pictures and videos of music activities outside of class.
Instrument Families Review .......is a wiki that that was created for 4th and 5th Grade students for a year long self-directed and collabrative unit with a concluding with the creation of a multi-media presentation.
The pages for the Brass, String, Woodwind and Percussion Families contain.... 1. Listening examples of the different instrument. 2. Online readings on the instruments, styles and history of each. 3. Online review games. 4. Online quizzes. 5. Online discussion groups.
Famous Americans .......is a wiki that I created for the 4th and 5th grade literacy teachers to use with their students in researching famous culturally diverse Americans past and present from atheleties, scientists, musicians, writers, etc.
